Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving personal goals and improving quality of life. You will support daily living activities and document progress toward each client’s goals.

Competitive hourly pay range is offered with weekly paychecks, plus benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, Paid Time Off, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• NCI/CPI training where applicable.
• CPR/FA certification preferred or required.
• Active driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to document progress.
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
• Prepare meals, light housekeeping, and transport to activities.
• Support developmental goals and independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany on outings.
• Document observations and progress toward goals; ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores
• May transport clients to and from community activities
• Support individual in achieving their developmental goals and fostering independence
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities
• Responsible for documenting observations and progress on specific goals and ensuring a safe environment for client

Requirements

• NCI/CPI Training
• CPR/FA
• High school diploma or GED required
• TB screening
• Active driver’s license
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in the English language required
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
• Must be at least 18 years of age
