Job summary

LIFE, Inc. - New Bern is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with daily living tasks in Newport, NC. The role pays $17.50 per hour and is paid biweekly.

You will help with dressing, bathing, eating, medications, meals, and community activities, working as part of a caring team to keep clients safe and well cared for. You will support clients with daily tasks, meals, and outings, and help implement planned activities in school or community settings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• North Carolina Driver’s License is required.
• At least 21 years old required.

Responsibilities

• Help people with dressing, bathing, toileting, and other personal care.
• Support clients during meals to encourage family-style dining.
• Assist with cleaning, laundry, and yard work.
• Help prepare meals and nutritional supplements.
• Make sure medication is given correctly.
• Follow special diet plans and use adaptive equipment.
• Carry out behavior programs and keep records.
• Support active treatment plans and track progress.
• Work with the team and share important client information.
• Drive clients safely in company vehicles when needed.
• Assist clients during outings and activities.

We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to join LIFE, Inc. - New Bern. This job is located in Newport, NC, and pays $17.50 per hour, paid every two weeks. In this role, you will help people with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, eating, and taking their medication. You will also support them with cleaning, cooking, and joining in activities at school or in the community. You will work as part of a team to make sure everyone is safe and well cared for.
