Job summary

Addus Homecare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist seniors and disabled clients in their own homes in Mount Carmel, TN. The role offers learning opportunities in quality home care, flexible hours, and competitive entry-level pay.

You will follow care plans, assist with personal care, transport clients, and report changes in condition. Benefits include daily/weekly pay and travel reimbursement, with opportunities for growth in a values-driven organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of in-home care experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.
