Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a Direct Support Professional to support seniors and individuals with disabilities in Mohawk, TN. Earn up to $15.68/hour with flexible hours and opportunities to grow in a leading home care company.

You will follow individualized care plans, assist with personal care, housekeeping, errands, and transportation to appointments, while observing changes in health and reporting to the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and one year of in-home care services experience.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.
• Comfortable using an electronic device.

Responsibilities

• Follow a care plan for the member and report on completed tasks.
• Assist people with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.)
• Support routine house cleaning, laundry, and assist with meal preparation.
• Transport members to appointments, daily errands, and other locations as necessary.
• Assist member with the self-administration of medications (no administering or measuring)
• Observe and report any changes in member's condition.

DSP Responsibilities
