Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help adolescents in a residential setting. Build trust, mentor youth, and promote independence while supporting daily living activities and community involvement.

Requires a degree or HS diploma with 3 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and certifications in CPR/First Aid. Weekend availability and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HS Diploma with 3 years' experience with youth.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or obtained.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships and positive connections with adolescents.
• Mentor youth and promote healthy decision making.
• Support community integration to activities and appointments.
• Teach life skills such as cooking, laundry, and personal care.
• Use positive reinforcement and crisis de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with bathing, feeding, grooming and daily living tasks.
• Assist with medication administration.

We are looking for direct support professionals to make a positive difference with the Consumers in the program. The goal of each Consumer is to learn independence, which is driven by their Behavior Support Plan.
