Job summary

Help at Home, LLC is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home care to seniors and people with disabilities in Fulton, Missouri. You will work 1-on-1 with clients, assisting with daily activities, companionship, and community involvement to improve quality of life.

Requirements include HS diploma or GED, valid driver's license, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain, transportation, and a compassionate, flexible attitude.

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll work 1-on-1 with your clients inside their homes, and support them with the following types of activities:

• In-Home Assistance - Help your clients with day-to-day activities like preparing meals, cleaning, dressing, grooming, laundry, monitoring vital signs, bathing, toileting, technology and other basic activities
• Companionship - Join your clients in playing games, arts and crafts, and accompany them to events outside the home like appointments, grocery shopping and running errands
• Community Building - Create a safe and positive living situation for your clients by communicating with the family and other staff about any concerns or challenges

Eligibility Requirements

• A HS Diploma or GED
• A valid driver's license
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain prior to employment
• Access to insured and reliable transportation
• Recognition of the needs of others, and the ability to build relationships with people from different backgrounds
• Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to spend evenings and weekends caring for your clients with dignity, patience, and compassion
