Devereux is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Cape May Court House, NJ. This role is part of the ASCEND career accelerator program, designed for dedicated individuals passionate about behavioral healthcare. You will supervise individuals in a safe environment, assist them with daily living skills, and participate in community activities.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license is required.
• Able to attend a paid onsite orientation for ten days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy during day programs.
• Supervise and assist individuals in developing daily living skills.
• Plan and document programs to meet individual needs.
• Participate in community jobs and outings.
• Transport individuals to and from the day program.

Job Summary

Devereux offers ASCEND, a career accelerator program designed for behavioral healthcare workers. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.

Location and Salary

Location: Cape May Court House, NJ. Salary: Starting at $20.42 per hour and increases with education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our individuals are safe and healthy while attending our day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist our individuals in achieving their goals for daily living skills, such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of our individuals.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for our individuals to be involved with.
• Schedule and transport our individuals to and from day program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid non‑provisional driver's license.
• 18 years of age or older (required).
• Able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic and able to work in a team approach to care for individuals.
