Direct Support Professional – Lakehurst, NJ

As a Direct Support Professional at Devereux, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. The role includes ensuring the safety and wellness of individuals participating in our day program, coaching daily living skills, and supporting community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending our day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in achieving goals for daily living skills such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Plan, implement, and document programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of participants.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for participants.
• Schedule and transport participants to and from the day program.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid non‑provisional driver's license.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to attend ten days of paid on‑site orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic and team‑oriented mindset.

Compensation & Schedule

Salary: Starting at $20.42 per hour, with increases based on education and experience.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 am–4 pm.
