Job summary

REM Community Services in Lakewood, WA is seeking a dedicated caregiver to help participants grow, learn, and live well. You will build meaningful relationships and support individuals with developmental goals.

The role requires compassion, reliability, and strong communication. A valid driver's license is preferred. Compensation follows the union agreement with hourly rates of $20.55–$21.65 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
  • Strong communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
  • Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible behaviors.

Caregiver – REM Community Services (Sevita)

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, provides community‑based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a caregiver you will help participants grow, learn, and live well.

Compensation

Compensation is established by the applicable union collective bargaining agreement. The hourly rate is $20.55 for individuals with less than one year of relevant experience and $21.65 for those with one or more years of relevant experience.
