Community Options, Inc is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides in King of Prussia, PA. This full-time, part-time, and PRN opportunity offers paid training with starting pay of $17.00/hour.

New hires may receive a sign-on bonus of $250 after meeting training and attendance requirements. Responsibilities include fostering community integration, supporting daily living, monitoring health, and transporting individuals to activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a meaningful relationship between the individuals and their community.
• Utilize Person Centered Plans to assess an individual's needs.
• Assist individuals with daily living and independence skills/personal care.
• Monitor health and medical needs and report concerns.
• Assist with learning and development of independent and community-based skills.
• Participate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activities.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community.
• Ensure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timely.
• Cooperate with the licensee and department staff in inspections and inquiries.

Starting pay is $17.00/hour

New hires are eligible for a sign-on bonus of $250.00 payable after working all scheduled hours with no unexcused call outs, complete all required trainings, and fulfill all required trainings. Additionally, must successfully pass the 90-day introductory/probationary period per the ED’s approval including performance standards.

• Employees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation

Working Conditions

• Work in residential programs, day programs, and in the community
• Transport individuals utilizing your own vehicle or company provided vehicles
• Schedule may change due to business needs and may include evening and weekend hours
• Overtime may be required due to business needs
• May be required to lift or move 25+ pounds
