Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in North Kansas City, MO is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. You will support daily living activities, encourage skill-building, and help clients reach their goals.

The role requires you to be at least 18, have DSP experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must have minimum 1 year related Direct Support Professional experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driverS license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and pass background and drug screenings.
• Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training before first shift.
• Level 1 med aide certification preferred.
• Availability for at least one weekend per month.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
• Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
• Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
• Offering companionship and encouragement.
• Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.

Location: North Kansas City, MO

Schedule: Monday through Friday 10 am to 5 pm
