Job summary

Phoenix Home Care & Hospice in Independence, MO is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You will support daily living activities, help clients reach goals, build skills, and provide compassionate companionship.

We offer weekly direct deposit at $17 per hour, competitive pay, flexible scheduling, paid training, medical plans including spousal coverage for part-time employees,

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year related DSP experience.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and pass background and drug screenings.
Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid training prior to first shift.
Weekend availability at least once per month.

Responsibilities

Assisting with personal care and hygiene.
Helping with meal preparation and cleanup.
Supporting light housekeeping and laundry.
Offering companionship and encouragement.
Accompanying individuals to appointments, errands, or community activities.
