Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals for our Huntington Valley, PA program. You will help individuals with daily living activities, hygiene, and personal care, following the Individual Support Plan. Gain experience in a compassionate team and support growth, independence, and community integration.

This position offers weekend scheduling (Saturday and Sunday) with paid training provided and opportunities for enhanced pay options. No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. is preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Individual Support Plan to assist with daily living activities.
• Assist with daily hygiene and personal care.
• Encourage and coach individuals to improve social and communication skills.
• Promote independence by teaching housekeeping and laundry tasks.
• Spend time in diverse settings to create positive memories for consumers.

Skills

Position Details

Our ideal Direct Support Professional candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer’s lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

Schedule

Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-11:00pm

No Experience Required - We Provide PAID Training.

Earn up to $18.00/hour with the selection of the Enhanced Pay option.
