Merakey seeks Direct Support Professionals to join our Fort Washington, PA team. You will support individuals in daily living activities, encouraging independence and helping with personal care, in a respectful, person-centered environment.

The role includes evening/night shifts with a base rate of $16.00/hour plus a $2-$3/hour differential, and access to a range of benefits and learning resources. Merakey promotes equality and diversity.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities to enhance independence.
• Support individuals in social and communication skills.
• Follow Individual Support Plan to deliver consistent care.

Position Details

Our ideal Direct Support Professional candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on their consumer’s lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. Spend your day in a variety of settings making memories with our individuals. By following the Individual Support Plan, you can enjoy your days at the park and sensory gardens, while working on social and communication skills. Enhancing independence by assisting with daily hygiene and personal care. Foster a true sense of pride in your individual, by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.

Schedule: Friday & Saturday 10:30pm-7:00am

Earn base hourly rate of $16.00/hour with $2-$3/hour shift differential
