Job summary

Traditional Home Care in Wilkes-Barre, PA is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals with ID/DD, autism, mental health and related needs. Part-time shifts are available across Wilkes-Barre and Dallas, with weekly pay and flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities include personal care, companionship, light housekeeping, safety teaching, and helping clients meet goals in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) preferred.

Responsibilities

NOW HIRING: Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Shift: Part-time shifts for both location now available

Pay Range: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Traditional Home Care, A locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to our individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, etc.

Job duties include

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Companionship
• Appropriate communication/social skilled
• Light housekeeping and chores
• Ensuring a safe environment and teaching basic safety skills
• Meeting individual goals and outcomes
• Promoting community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Mobile Device & EVV Requirements

This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services. As part of this, you will be required to use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours. Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided and must have reliable internet access to meet these requirements.
