Job summary

Mid-Missouri Supported Living, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist a small group of clients in an Individualized Supported Living home. You will help with daily tasks, monitor health, provide medication reminders, and accompany clients to appointments.

This position offers paid training and certifications, a supportive team, and a range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass a Family Care Safety Registry screening.
• Strong work ethic, accept supervision and provide feedback.
• Reliability, punctuality, and scheduling flexibility.
• Interpersonal skills to engage with individuals served, team and community.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs and sit/stand for prolonged periods.
• Valid driving license and proof of personal automotive insurance if transporting individuals.
• Complete all agency trainings/certifications within 90 days (CPR/First Aid, Med Aide, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Help clients live independently by assisting with daily tasks like cooking and cleaning.
• Provide medication reminders and administration (with paid Med Aide training).
• Support clients at doctor’s appointments, errands, and community outings.
• Encourage and participate in activities like game nights, crafts, video games, TV/movies, and walks.
• Keep clear, simple documentation to track daily progress.
• Promote safety, respect, and independence at all times.
• Other duties as needed.
