REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Waterloo, IA. Join a mission-driven team to empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live more independently and participate in community life.

Open interviews on Tuesday, August 25th, 9am-2pm at 2515 Cyclone Dr Suite C, Waterloo. Benefits include $15.25/hour, on-demand pay, and full medical/dental/vision with PTO and 401(k) matching, plus nationwide growth

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license with access to a registered vehicle and proof of insurance.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• Reliable, responsible attitude and compassionate approach.

Responsibilities

• Empower individuals to achieve personal and developmental goals, including budgeting, nutrition, and community involvement.
• Build meaningful connections as a mentor, advocate, and friend to those supported.
• Take initiative and contribute ideas to improve daily support.
• Assist with daily living tasks: meal prep, medications, personal care, and outings.
• Champion inclusion by helping people access communities and participate in activities.
