Job summary

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join our team at our program in Antioch, CA. DSPs provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping with personal care, communication and social skills.

The ideal candidate will be at least 18, have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and six months of direct care experience. Earn $26-28 per hour, with increases after obtaining the RBT certification.

• Dual Diagnose experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Six months of direct care experience with developmental disabilities.
• Commit to completing DSP 1 & 2 and RBT within 12 months.

Job description

Earn $26- $28 per hour (rate increases to $2 per hour once you have received your RBT – Registered Behavioral Technician certification).

OurDirect Support Professionals(DSPs) interact and support our individuals with development disabilities in a variety of potential settings including community, family or individual homes and generic community settings, as well as Adult Training Facilities. The DSP will assist with direct care as well as implementation of behavior plans. We provide a level of care that enhances the health, safety, dignity and contentment of every consumer served by assisting and training individuals in the areas of personal care, communication, and social skill development.
