Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Riverside, CA seeks a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will advocate for clients and support daily living activities in a compassionate team setting.

The role requires at least 1 year of caregiving experience, a HS diploma or equivalent, and a valid California driver’s license. Training in DSP CPI and First Aid/CPR is preferred or achievable within stated timelines.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must have at least 1 year of professional or personal caregiving experience.
• Direct Support Professional Certificate Year 1 & Year 2 and CPI preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire.
• First Aid / CPR preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have a California Driver’s License.
• Candidates must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in IPP.
• Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in IPP/ISP goals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
• Assist clients with personal care such as grooming and bathroom needs.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Transport clients in company vans if necessary.
• Report incidents and communicate with administration daily.
• Perform other duties assigned.
