Job summary

Redwood Family Care Network in Ridgecrest, CA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to promote health, safety and well-being for individuals with developmental disabilities. This full-time role offers meaningful, hands-on support in a person-centered home and community setting.

Responsibilities include daily routines, personal care, meal prep, and client transport as needed. Applicants must be 21+, hold a CA driver’s license, and pass pre-employment checks; DSP certification is required

Qualifications

• Direct Support Professional Certificate – DSP Year 1 & Year 2 (Must obtain within first 12 months of Hire)
• First Aid/CPR & CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention (Preferred or willing to obtain)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a California Driver’s License
• Candidate must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including but not limited to a background check.

Responsibilities

• Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients' (visual and active) as written in Individual Program Plan.
• Assist clients with bathroom needs.
• Change clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed.
• Prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
• Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
