Responsibilities

• Engages residents in activities of choice, reinforcing ISP goals.
• Provides transportation and supervision for residents as dictated by the program.
• Keeps daily logs with information on residents' activities, problems and needs.
• Upholds residents' personal hygiene and grooming needs.
• Uses proper body mechanics to lift, move, and provide prescribed exercises.
• Inspects home at shift start for safety; reports deficiencies by end of shift.
• Performs fire and severe weather evacuation drills as directed.
• Follows program plans for emergencies (medical, fire, severe weather, missing persons).
• Cleans and sanitizes appliances, utensils, surfaces per Personal Care Home guidelines.
• Cooks and prepares meals.
• Reports equipment issues to supervisor.
• Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms, kitchen, and telephones daily.
• Ensures compliance with local/state/federal regulations for Personal Care Home and UC Residential Services.
• Keeps confidentiality and protects clients' rights.
