Chimes Metro, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges in Newark, NJ. Youll support daily living, personal care, and medication administration according to individualized plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in disability services is preferred but not required; training is provided.
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver3s license with acceptable driving history (3 years with up to 3 points or 2 years with clean record).

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
