Job summary

The Center for Disability Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional II to provide compassionate, person-centered support in residential settings across the Capital Region of New York. The role focuses on helping individuals develop daily living skills and autonomy while following personalized care plans.

Work is in a 24/7 environment with flexible scheduling, weekend and evening/overnight availability, and a strong emphasis on dignity, safety, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• NYS Driver's License required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the person’s planning, implementation, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist, promote, and provide independence in daily treatment, care, and services.
• Respect the person’s choices, lifestyle, and dignity to take informed risks.
• Help implement personalized habilitation services per care plan.
