Job summary

BAYADA Home Health Care in Gastonia, NC seeks Direct Support Professionals to provide compassionate in-home care and companionship to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will support daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments, and help them pursue meaningful hobbies.

Qualifications

• One year experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training is available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments
• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
• Participate in community integration activities
• Help lift and reposition clients.
