Job summary

Alpha Omega Consulting Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential and community settings in Decatur, IL.

The role focuses on promoting independence, safety, and meaningful daily living while building relationships with individuals and their families. DSPs will assist with activities of daily living, personal care, meal prep, transportation, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or GED, if required for the position.
• Be able to follow individualized plans and supervisor direction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centered support in residential and community settings.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal-care tasks.
• Encourage independence and development of daily living and social skills.
• Assist with meal planning, housekeeping, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Provide transportation as assigned and appropriate for the position.
• Maintain documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate professionally with individuals, guardians, families, coworkers, supervisors, nurses, and other team members.
