Job summary

Service Alternatives in Tacoma is seeking a Direct Support Professional to help adults with developmental disabilities live meaningful lives by teaching life skills and supporting daily living in their own homes.

No prior experience required; training provided. The role includes part-time and on-call shifts with a starting wage of $21.45–$22.45 per hour. Benefits include PayActiv, health and retirement options, and a strong commitment to DEIB.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Have a clear criminal history and pass a background check
• Be at least 18 or older
• Currently have or within 30 days of being hired CPR/First Aid license (Paid by SA)
• Current driver license, car, and car insurance.
• Current NAR (1st year paid by SA)
• Current 75-hour certification (Long-Term Care Worker) or exemption letter.

Responsibilities

• Help adults with developmental disabilities learn life skills.
• Support clients to live in their own homes and thrive in the community.
• Assist during part-time and on-call shifts in the Tacoma area.
