Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Hackettstown, NJ to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You’ll assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding, and growth opportunities are offered. This is a mission‑driven role with paid training and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
  • Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
  • Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
  • Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
  • Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
  • Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
  • Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
  • Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
  • Complete documentation and maintaining schedules.
  • Complete ongoing training and professional development.
