Job summary

Harry Meyering Center, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes and communities. The role offers flexible shifts, paid training, and the chance to help people build independence and meaningful experiences.

Wage is $18.00 per hour with part-time and full-time opportunities across North Mankato, Mankato, and Eagle Lake. Overtime pay and competitive benefits are available, along with morning, evening, and overnight

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a Minnesota DHS Background Study.
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Previous experience as a DSP, CNA, PCA, caregiver, or in a similar role is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, individualized care.
• Assist with personal cares. (dressing, bathing, feeding, etc.)
• Support daily living activities. (cooking, cleaning, laundry)
• Participate in community outings. (bowling, shopping, movies, exercise)
• Follow health, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Complete documentation and other assigned tasks.
