Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Statesville/Hollingswood for full-time, 40 hours per week, including every other weekend. You will assist individuals with disabilities in daily living, advocate for rights, and support community integration and independence.

The role emphasizes person-centered support, documentation, and coordination with community resources. Must be 18+, have HS diploma, and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for individuals' human, legal, and civil rights.
• Promote health and safety by supporting wellness initiatives and accident prevention.
• Encourage self-advocacy and empower individuals in making their own choices.
• Facilitate community engagement by accompanying individuals to work, recreational activities, and social events.
• Teach and support independent living skills, including household management and personal care.
• Provide transportation for appointments, errands, and community activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of provided services and support.
• Connect individuals with community resources for career development, education, and volunteer opportunities.
