Job summary
Center for Developmentally Disabled Kansas City, MO is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) / Caregivers to support residents in daily living, medication assistance, and skill development across residential homes in the Kansas City metro. You will promote independence, safety, and personal growth while delivering compassionate care.
Starting pay is $19/hr with weekend differential pay and an additional CNA premium of $2/hr where eligible.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid MO Class E or KS Class C driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with personal care.
- Pass background checks and health screenings prior to hire.
- One year of related experience or education in human services or healthcare preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with ADLs such as hygiene, meals, and mobility.
- Support medication administration and health documentation under supervision.
- Encourage independence and community participation.
- Provide companionship and emotional encouragement.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation (T-Logs, service notes).
- Deliver safe, respectful, person-centered care in all settings.
