Sevita is hiring a Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver in Hammond, LA for a full-time role with benefits. 2nd shift from 3pm to 11pm with some weekends. Starting pay $16/hour plus experience-based adjustments; active CNA adds $0.50/hour.

Responsibilities include training and supervising individuals in living skills, assisting with daily activities, and coordinating with clinical staff. We seek caring, detail-oriented individuals with a valid driver's license, 21+ years old, and background checks

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months to one year of experience in the human services field.
• Valid Driver's License from state of residence.
• Must be minimum of 21 years of age.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• A caring attitude with dedication to assisting others.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and communication skills.

• Assist with daily activities such as meal prep, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
• Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served and support community involvement by accompanying them on outings or providing transport.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans.

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver
