Job summary

Sevita is hiring Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver in Lexington, KY. Shifts include 4PM-12AM and 12AM-8AM; weekend availability required. Starting wage is $15.50 per hour.

You will train and supervise individuals in living skills, assist with daily activities, and support community involvement and transportation needs. Collaborate with clinical staff to support therapy plans, maintain strong communication, and uphold quality in all caregiving tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months to one year of human services experience.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.
• Must be minimum of 18 years of age.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• A caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills.
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
• A commitment to quality in everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, assistance, and supervision to individuals in living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other forms of assistance in residential and community settings.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
• Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement by accompanying them on outings or transportation to work or activities.
• Work closely with clinical staff to support the therapeutic and behavioral plans in place.

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver

Now hiring 4PM-12AM and 12AM-8AM.

Must be able to work Saturday or Sunday each week.

Must be able to provide a a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
