Job summary

Sevita’s NeuroRestorative in Louisville is seeking a Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver to support individuals with brain, spinal cord, and other challenges in residential and community settings.

You will provide training, assistance, and supervision in living skills, personal care, and daily activities while coordinating with clinical staff on treatment plans. Shifts 3:30PM-11PM or 11PM-9AM, with weekend work required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Six months to one year of experience in human services.
• Valid Driver's License from state of residence.
• Must be minimum of 18 years of age.
• Successful clearance of background checks.
• A caring attitude with a dedication to assisting others.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication skills.
• A reliable, responsible attitude and a compassionate approach.
• A commitment to quality in everything you do.

Responsibilities

• Provide training, assistance, and supervision to individuals in living skills, therapeutic recreation, and other forms of assistance in residential and community settings.
• Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, shopping, cleaning, and medication administration.
• Facilitate relationships between employers and individuals served, and support community involvement by outings or transportation to work or activities.
• Work closely with our clinical staff to support the therapeutic and behavioral plans in place.

NeuroRestorative, a part of the Sevita family, provides rehabilitation services for people of all ages with brain, spinal cord and medically complex injuries, illnesses and other challenges. In a variety of locations and community-based settings, we offer a range of programs, including vocational and therapy programs, day treatments, and specialized services for infants, children, adolescents, Military Service Members and Veterans.

Life Skills Trainer/Caregiver

Now hiring 3:30PM-11PM and 11PM-9AM. Must be able to work Saturday or Sunday each week.
