Sevita in Kenner, LA is hiring caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based settings. You’ll assist with daily living, hygiene, and activities, while helping participants grow and participate in the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of patient direct care experience; group home care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and support participants with complex needs.
• Help participants achieve developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Build rewarding relationships and provide compassionate care daily.
• Encourage participation in community activities and social integration.
• Document care and communicate with supervisors and care teams.

What You’ll Bring To Sevita

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 2 years of experience in patient direct care, or care coordination required. Group home care experience preferred
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management
• Behaviors: Patient, compassionate, reliable, responsible
• Vehicle: Valid Driver's license for at least a year and reliable transportation
