Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. is hiring for a role that provides day-to-day living assistance and essential health support for clients in need.

You will perform health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and assist with transfers and ambulation, while delivering compassionate companionship and support to promote client well-being. The position requires ability to coordinate with home, school, and community resources, plus meeting state-required licensure or certifications and BLS/clearance

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills; English language proficiency may be required.
• Computer proficiency required.
• BLS certification and health clearances may be required by state.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons needing day-to-day assistance.
• Performs health care tasks, personal hygiene, and related support.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Provides incidental household services as part of a care plan.
• Offers companionship through reading, listening and conversation.
• Encourages client independence via self-care activities.
• Reports changes in client status as directed by the care plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay: $21 - $24 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene services, and other related support services essential to the client’s health
• Assists with transfers and ambulation
• Performs incidental household services that are an integral part of a personal care plan
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client
• Assists client in the development of independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines and personal hygiene
• Appropriately reports changes in client status or as directed by care plan
• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary

Requirements:

• State licensure or certification as required by state and/or program
• One (1) year relevant experience preferred
• Current BLS Card
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Ability to coordinate and facilitate services between the home, school,local health agency, and other community resources
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to andfrom appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to,supervisors, co-workers, clients) viastrong communicationskills; proficiency inthe English language may berequired
• Computer proficiency required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
