Housing Matters is seeking a Direct Services Coordinator (NOC Shift) to patrol shelters, support housing goals, and ensure a safe, respectful environment on-site in Santa Cruz, CA. The role requires strong supervision, crisis response, and collaboration with staff to meet residents' needs.
Starting wages are hourly, with a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 403b. EMT/CPR credentials are valued, and bilingual English/Spanish is preferred to assist diverse shelter guests.

The primary role of the DSC is to actively support program activities and participants’ housing goals, maintain a safe and clean environment for all shelter guests. Additionally, DSCs remain vigilant and available to handle all emergencies that may arise. NOC Shift DSCs will be responsible for patrolling the Housing Matters’ campus shelters during NOC shift hours.
DSC NOC is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position, eligible for medical, dental, vision, 403b, and our generous PTO plan.
Regular Rate:
$25.00 $25.75 $26.52 $27.32 $28.14 $28.98
