Job summary

Advocates is hiring a Direct Service Worker to support residents with mental health and/or substance use challenges in a team-based setting. The role includes implementing individual plans, documenting progress, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring a safe, home-like environment.

You will monitor medication, participate in trainings, and help residents integrate into the community. Fluent ASL and a HS diploma/GED are required, with a driver’s license and access to a vehicle highly

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED and 1 year related experience.
• Must be fluent in ASL.
• Experience with diverse populations preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Must have valid driver's license and access to vehicle.
• Strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities and rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and document Comprehensive Assessments and plans.
• Document daily in CBFS Notes.
• Monitor medication administration.
• Provide crisis intervention and emergency services as needed.
• Attend trainings and maintain certifications.
• Ensure a safe, home-like environment.
• Collaborate with staff and other service providers.
