Job summary

Island Home Care in Louisiana is seeking compassionate caregivers to support clients in their homes. This family-run business offers training and flexible shifts to fit your schedule, with a focus on helping clients live independently.

Caregivers assist with daily living activities, monitor safety, and build trusted relationships with clients. A high school diploma and reliable transportation are required to join our caring team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a mobile cellular device.
• Some clients require mobility assistance up to 50 lbs.
• Able to lift 10 lbs.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home care to help clients maintain independence.
• Assist with meal preparation and eating.
• Support grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping and errands.
• Provide medication reminders and companionship.
• Coordinate appointments and accompany clients if required.

Chris served in the US Navy where he gained much knowledge and exposure to the field and Brandi has been an RN for over 20 years.
