Job summary

A child support services organization in Bangor, Maine, seeks Direct Support Residential Professionals (DSRPs) to assist children with disabilities and support their families. Candidates will provide individual support based on the Respite Plan and ensure positive behavior while in care. Responsibilities include adhering to program procedures, completing daily logs, and attending scheduled trainings. Background checks are mandatory. Qualifications

• Must be able to pass background checks including DMV, CPS, APS, and Criminal checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual support to children based on the Respite Plan.
• Assist children with positive behavior and well-being while in their care.
• Exercise good judgment.
• Provide services as scheduled.
• Complete Respite Daily Logs in accordance to program procedures and submit within 24 hours.
• Adhere to the agency'sclinical, administrative, and personnel policies and procedures.
• Attend all scheduled supervisions, meetings, and trainings as assigned by supervisor and/or director.

The primary responsibility of DSRPs is to give support and assistance to family members or guardians who are caring for children with disabilities who have qualified for respite services. They give appropriate care to children and support families by providing a planned break in the family's home, their own home, or other community settings as defined by the Respite Plan.
