Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Hampstead, NC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with IDD in daily living tasks and community activities. This part-time or as-needed role offers flexible hours, Monday–Friday options, and on-site work in Hampstead and surrounding areas.

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community where the individual lives.

• Transport client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize client schedule.
• Document daily in the electronic health record system.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a critical role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals.

Position details: Monday – Friday, various hours and shifts available

Location: Hampstead, NC and surrounding areas with local community travel

Your Role in Our Mission

• You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing, toiletry and changing diapers; as well as employment support.
• You may transport the client to appointments and run errands.
• Help plan and organize their schedule.
• Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.

What We’re Looking For
