TE Connectivity is seeking a regional procurement professional to shape strategies for automotive components such as injection-molded parts, raw materials, cables, and packaging. You will partner with engineering teams, manage supplier risk, and drive cost savings through strategic sourcing and supplier development.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s in a technical field, have 3–5 years in automotive procurement, and be fluent in English and French.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in the automotive industry, in direct procurement or related field.
• Experience with SAP purchasing processes.
• Experience in Contract Negotiation in the automotive industry.
• Experience in Supplier Management in the automotive industry.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of injection molding manufacturing processes (nice to have).

Responsabilidades

• Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and reflect industry complexities.
• Ensure purchasing policy processes meet objectives regarding price, quality and delivery targets.
• Negotiate annual supplier increases to keep them market-related.
• Use Supplier Development resources to ensure supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products.
• Manage relationships with suppliers, select and develop new suppliers.
• Build long-term relationships with vendors in the industry.
• Establish, review and manage contract specifications on behalf of TE Connectivity.
• Provide management reports with key performance data and monitor costs.
• Ensure parts are sourced in full and aligned to production schedules and customer requirements.
• Lead cross-functional projects for localization and outsourcing.
• Lead and track annual cost saving programs.

You will play a strategic role in supplier management, contract negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring high-quality sourcing solutions in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Your main tasks

• Create and implement regional procurement strategies that are innovative, cost-effective, and incorporate the growing complexities and challenges within the industry
• Ensure that purchasing policy processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs, regarding price, quality and delivery targets, to optimize performance and productivity
• To manage and negotiate annual increases proposed by suppliers, ensuring that the proposed increase is market related.
• Use appropriate resources (including Supplier Development) to ensure supplier partnerships and delivery of sourced products
• Manage relationships with suppliers. Select and develop new suppliers
• Build long-term relationships with vendors in the industry
• Establish , Review and Manage contract specifications on behalf of the company
• Provide management reports, key performance data and monitor cost
• Ensure parts are sourced in full and aligned to production schedules and customer requirements
• Lead cross-functional project for localization and outsourcing
• Lead and track annual cost saving progect

Your ideal background

• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a similar technical field
• 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry, in direct procurement or related field
• Previous experience working closely with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Automotive supplier network and market knowledge.
• Project management capabilities
• Experience with SAP/SIP purchasing processes.
• Knowledge of injection molding manufacturing processes (nice to have)
• Experience in Contract Negotiation: Proven track record in negotiating contracts for direct goods and services in the automotive industry. Ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and quality to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Experience in Supplier Management: Experience in managing supplier relationships in the automotive industry. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, evaluate supplier performance, and address non-performance issues.
• Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
