Job summary

Midwest Healthcare & Wellness is seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) to join our direct primary care team in Warrensburg, MO. The role spans in-office, urgent care, and walk-in duties, plus hormone optimization and IV therapy, delivered in person or via telehealth.

Weekend availability is required; candidates familiar with DPC are preferred, and eligible providers may work remote telehealth per-visit.

Qualifications

• Missouri FNP-C licensure or eligibility required.

• DOT certification preferred; willing to obtain if not held.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and urgent care to a direct-pay patient panel.
• Manage hormone optimization and wellness treatments per protocols.
• Assess patients, order/interpret labs, and craft treatment plans.
• Treat acute/urgent conditions and oversee IV therapy.
• Deliver in-office and telehealth care with proper EHR documentation.
• Follow AUA and Endocrine Society guidelines for hormone care.
• Comply with Missouri rules, PDMP, and collaborative practice terms.
• Participate in triage and weekend coverage per policy.

Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) to join our growing team. This role includes direct primary care, urgent care, and walk-in clinic duties, as well as involvement in our wellness services (hormone optimization, wellness treatments, IV therapy), delivered both in-office and via telehealth. Familiarity with direct primary care is important — candidates without DPC experience but willing to learn are welcome to apply. Weekend availability is required as part of the regular schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care, urgent care, and walk-in clinic services to a direct-pay patient panel
• Manage hormone optimization and wellness treatment patients per established clinical protocols
• Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret labs, and develop treatment plans
• Evaluate and treat acute/urgent conditions for walk-in patients
• Administer or oversee IV therapy and related wellness services
• Deliver care via telehealth in addition to in-office visits
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation, including use of standardized dot phrases/templates
• Follow practice protocols aligned with AUA and Endocrine Society guidelines (for hormone care)
• Ensure compliance with Missouri nonpharmacy dispensing rules, PDMP requirements, and collaborative practice agreement terms
• Participate in patient triage and provider assessment processes per practice policy
• Provide coverage during scheduled weekend hours

Qualifications

• Current Missouri FNP-C licensure (or eligibility for licensure/collaborative practice agreement)
• Active DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• DOT certification preferred; willing to obtain if not already certified
• Familiarity with direct primary care preferred; willingness to learn our model required
• Experience in primary care; experience with hormone therapy or wellness medicine a plus
• Strong clinical judgment and comfort working in a direct-pay/membership-based care model
• Excellent communication and patient rapport skills
• Ability to work independently under a collaborative practice agreement

Schedule

• Full time or part time
• Weekend shifts required (specific days/hours to be discussed during interview)

We will also consider candidates who prefer to work fully remote, seeing patients exclusively via telehealth on a per-visit pay basis. This option offers flexibility for providers who do not wish to work in-office but still want to provide direct primary care and wellness services to our patients.
