Job summary

Frontier Direct Care in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to serve as the primary clinician for a defined patient panel with a Medical Assistant and collaborating physician.

You’ll provide longitudinal primary care with 30–60 minute visits, manage chronic conditions, perform in‑office procedures, document in the EHR, and offer after‑hours access. This role follows Texas Medical Board guidelines with mentorship from the Medical Director.

Qualifications

• Active Texas APRN-FNP license or PA license in good standing.
• 2+ years post-graduate experience in family practice or primary care.
• Experience managing patients across the lifespan.
• Hands-on procedural experience: I&Ds, suturing, biopsies, IV placement.
• Unrestricted DEA registration or ability to obtain before start.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Comfort with electronic medical records and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary clinician for a defined patient panel with support from a Medical Assistant and collaborating physician.
• Provide longitudinal primary care: preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute visits.
• Manage chronic conditions with appropriate visit times to intervene as needed.
• Perform in-office procedures including I&Ds, suturing, skin biopsies, and exams.
• See patients in person, by phone, and via secure video/text; document visits in the EHR.
• Provide after-hours patient access through a company-provided secure line.
• Practice under a collaborating/delegating physician per Texas Medical Board requirements with mentorship.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and 1:1s.
