Job summary

Frontier Direct Care is expanding across Texas with full-time physician assistant or APRN-FNP roles in a direct primary care model. You will serve as the primary clinician for a defined panel with a collaborating physician, delivering 30–60 minute visits, managing chronic diseases, and performing in-office procedures.

Applicants should have Texas licensure, 2+ years of family practice experience, DEA and BLS, and proficiency with EMR and scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• Active Texas APRN-FNP license or PA license (NCCPA-certified).
• 2+ years post-graduate experience in family practice or primary care.
• Experience managing patients across lifespan (pediatric through geriatric).
• Hands-on procedural experience: I&Ds, suturing/suture removal, skin biopsies, IV placement, men’s/women’s health exams.
• Active, unrestricted DEA registration (or ability to obtain before start).
• Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• Comfort with electronic medical records and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide longitudinal primary care for a defined patient panel.
• Manage chronic conditions with appropriate visit times.
• Perform in-office procedures including I&Ds, suturing and biopsies.
• See patients in person, by phone, and via secure video/text.
• Document visits and maintain records in our EHR.
• Provide after-hours patient access through a secure line.
• Practice under a collaborating/delegating physician with mentorship.
• Participate in weekly team meetings and 1:1s.
