Job summary

UF Health Shands Homecare in Jacksonville, FL is hiring a Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN. This full-time role runs 7:00am–7:00pm, 36 hours per week, delivering safe, patient-centered care in a clean, supportive environment.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, is proficient with basic medical terminology, teamwork, and English reading/writing, and will obtain BLS certification and CPI training within the required timeframe.

Qualifications

• Direct patient care under RN supervision.
• Learn and apply hospital computer systems.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge; standard precautions.
