PDS Tech Commercial seeks a Buyer / Materials Planner (Direct Materials) for on-site operations in Texas. You will procure direct materials, manage supplier relationships, and coordinate with internal teams to support production.

This temp-to-hire role emphasizes data-driven decisions and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of direct material buying experience, proficiency with SAP/MRP, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of direct material buying experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with SAP and MRP systems.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets analysis.
• Understanding of procurement, inventory, and supplier management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Procure direct materials and services to support production.
• Serve as primary liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
• Review requisitions, evaluate bids, and issue purchase orders.
• Execute purchasing activities driven by MRP systems.
• Manage procurement for new product introductions and existing products.
• Monitor on-time delivery and optimize inventory.
• Track KPIs and support continuous improvements.
• Address supply chain issues and supplier performance.
