Direct Mail Equipment Maintenance Tech. - PM Shift

Company: Amsive – Bolingbrook, IL

Work Hours: 3am - 3pm (Rotation of days)

Location: 605 Territorial Dr Bolingbrook, IL 60440

Summary / Objective

The Production Maintenance Technician conducts proactive maintenance for mail and inserting machines, shared machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance services.

MUST have maintenance experience working with DIRECT MAIL equipment for consideration!

Essential Functions

• Hands-on maintenance work for Inserting / Mailing equipment such as Blue Crest, Bell & Howell, and Pitney Bowes.
• Technical knowledge to work on high-speed production equipment, mechanical and electrical systems, with some computer operations.
• Provide proactive support in maintaining production equipment to ensure machines operate at optimum levels.
• Work in a team-oriented environment to achieve productivity goals.
• Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and scheduled maintenance for production equipment.
• Share setup responsibilities with mechanics and/or operators for scheduled production runs.
• Require mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair; become knowledgeable with operating system computers on each production machine.
• Support production needs including operating equipment, relieving breaks and lunches, and leading/assisting on line changeovers.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, job tickets and work orders to perform required jobs and maintenance.
• Comply with OSHA safety and health rules.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• Minimum 3 or more years of maintenance experience in the mail manufacturing industry.
• Hands-on maintenance work for Inserting / Mailing equipment such as Blue Crest, Bell & Howell, and Pitney Bowes.
• Extensive mail industry experience (minimum 3 years) with Blue Crest mail inserting machines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be available to work overtime as business needs require.
• Strong conflict/issue resolution skills with aptitude for decision-making.
• English fluency in reading, writing, and speaking required; bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Technical knowledge of high-speed production equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment, computer operations.
• Proficient with internet research and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Indoor, temperature-controlled production facility.
• Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, squat for at least 8 hours/day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required for specific functions.

Security Clearance

Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
