Job summary

Trillium Staffing is seeking a Heavy Equipment Field Technician / Mechanic for a direct-hire opportunity in Rossville, TN. The role is 1st shift, Monday–Friday, with a pay rate of $32-38/hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of maintenance and repair experience, specifically with 2+ years focused on heavy equipment (e.g., steel mill machinery, large-scale hydraulics, or similar “yellow iron”).
• Extensive expertise in hydraulic systems, electrical diagnostics, and various OEM platforms.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain mobile throughout a full shift.
• Intermediate computer skills and attention to detail in maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance & Repair: Perform complex repairs and routine servicing on a variety of company-owned and customer-facing heavy industrial equipment.
• System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine systems to resolve mechanical issues.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and policies to ensure a zero-accident work environment.
• Field Operations: Complete daily site activities, including work orders, timekeeping, and maintenance records.
• Parts Coordination: Work with Purchasing and Parts to source components for uptime.
• Logistics: Monitor inventory of assets, tools, and equipment.
