Base pay range

$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a Direct-Hire (FTE) position, which is an On-site role in Wahoo, NE / Fargo, ND. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in Networking, BGP/OSPF, Juniper, and Netgate Networks.

Salary Range: $150K-$180K annually. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with deep expertise in modern data center networking technologies to join our growing infrastructure team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-performance environments, enjoys solving complex network challenges, and is passionate about building scalable, reliable systems.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, building, and operating our global network. You’ll work closely with cross‑functional teams on routing architectures, automation, observability, and next‑gen deployments using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, EVPN/VXLAN, and CI/CD‑driven workflows.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design, build, and maintain highly available network infrastructure in collaboration with engineering and operations teams.
• Design and optimize Layer 2/3 topologies using protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
• Support and improve data center operations, contributing to monitoring, observability, and incident resolution.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to recommend and implement network upgrades to improve scalability and performance.
• Lead network automation efforts using tools like Python and Ansible, integrated with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, standards, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise or data center networks (Dell equipment / Seth storage/Linux environment).
• Strong knowledge of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF, GRE, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.
• Strong knowledge of Juniper Networks (QFX series, Junos OS).
• Strong knowledge of Netgate networks (pfSense+, tnsr).
• Experience with network automation (Ansible, Python, etc.) and integration into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, etc).
• Deadline and detail‑oriented.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
