Job summary

Turner-Mining-Group-LLC is seeking an Excavator Operator for underground utilities in Front Royal, VA. This permanent, direct-hire role involves operating CAT 320–336 excavators to dig trenches, place pipe, and manage material on site under the Team Lead's guidance.

The role requires 2 years of heavy equipment experience, OSHA 10, and a valid driver’s license, with pipelaying experience preferred. Flexibility to operate auxiliary CAT loaders is expected.

Qualifications

• 2 years of heavy excavator operation experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience preferred.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• Underground utility focus with pipelaying experience preferred.
• Experience operating CAT 320–336 class excavators or equivalent.
• Willingness to operate support machinery (930/963 loaders).
• Strong reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Precision excavation: dig trenches to grade and depth for underground utilities.
• Trench & pipe operations: lift, move, and position pipe and trench boxes.
• Controlled backfill: compact backfill to specifications.
• Cross-equipment operation: assist with CAT 930/963 loaders as needed.
• Daily maintenance & logs: pre/post-shift inspections and logs.
• Jobsite safety: maintain safety around open excavations and utilities.
